The costs of the central vacuum system can be divided into four parts:
For an accurate calculation of the total cost, we would like to refer you to our online quote calculator. With the help of 3 questions, our configurator is able to compile an accurate bill of materials for your type of home.
From experience we can give the following cost estimates, this is average.
The above prices are excl. installation. For the installation of the system, you can call on one of our certified installers. If you are curious about which installer is available in your area, please fill in the contact form and we will contact you as soon as possible.
If you want to compare other systems and brands with BEAM, it is important to provide clarity about what is offered. The differences can be bigger than they seem. The following points should be taken into account in any case:
It is not common for a central vacuum system to clog quickly, but if you vacuum up the wrong objects, it is not impossible that your hose or piping system will become clogged.
With 20 years of experience in this business, our customers have never had to do any demolition or demolition work to clear a blockage. It is crucial that the original and seamlessly connectable pipe system is used when constructing the piping system. Because we use flowing bends, you run as little risk as possible in this way and we reduce the risk of possible blockages.

A pull-out hose is very flexible and lightweight, making the hose easy to carry with you. This, in combination with the compact storage capacity, makes the hose extremely suitable for quick and small crumb jobs.
The hose also has the property of retracting during use, which is caused by the suction power of the vacuum cleaner. This makes the hose less suitable for vacuuming larger surfaces.
The patented filter of the domestic BEAM vacuum cleaners cleans itself automatically after the system is switched off. The filter knocks itself clean, as it were, by a weight sewn into the filter, so it cannot saturate and you experience continuous suction without having to do maintenance.
Cyclonic filtration separates large dirt and dust particles from the airflow and ends up at the bottom of the container. The finer dust particles are captured by the filter with an astonishing efficiency of 98% at 0.3 microns.
In collaboration with the makers of the GORE-TEX® material, BEAM has developed a textile in which the dust particles do not stick to the self-cleaning filter as with conventional filters.
It is therefore only necessary to empty the container from time to time.

BEAM’s central vacuum cleaners are known for their virtually maintenance-free use. By default, the vacuum cleaner can be used without a vacuum cleaner bag and the dust and dirt sucked up ends up in the collection tray under the device. It is only necessary to empty the bucket every now and then. An average household does this about 1 to 2 times a year.
Each vacuum cleaner motor has two carbon brushes that last approximately 500-600 to 700-900 hours, depending on the type of vacuum cleaner. You can easily replace it yourself over time to extend the life of the engine slightly. For more information about replacing the carbon brushes, we advise you to contact us.

Our flexible control wire has a soft core with a diameter of 2 x 0.75 mm2. The flexible casing pipe has a diameter of 5/8″, equals 16 mm.
Yes, the skirting board vacuum cleaner can also be built into the wall.
The baseboard vacuum cleaner is usually installed in the baseboard of the kitchen. But the baseboard vacuum cleaner does not only come into its own in the kitchen, it can also be nice at the entrance/entrance of the house for quickly sucking up sand, for example from the shoes. But also when used in, for example, a barbershop, the skirting board vacuum cleaner is a real time saver!
If you want to install the skirting board vacuum cleaner in the wall, this is possible, for this you should take the following points into account:
For the installation of the kit with stretch hose for the (kitchen) cabinet, the required space must be taken into account. It is also important that the pipe to which the box is connected is in the right place. This is preferably when the pipe comes out of the wall just below the kitchen worktop (approx. 70-85cm), which is a good height to connect it later. When the pipe comes up from the floor, it is important that it is as far as possible against the back wall because the pipe must be connected to the back of the box.

It is certainly possible, but not every home lends itself equally well to it. A large proportion of Dutch and Belgian homes offer sufficient opportunities for concealing the pipe system. Spaces such as accessible pipe ducts, the meter cupboard, crawl space, knee bulkheads and, for example, the stair cupboard are used for this. Not only can vacuum contacts of the vacuum system be placed in the wall, it is also possible to place connections in the floor.
The installation of the signal wire must be connected in parallel. In this way, one large loop is created and the control wire can run from dust contact to dust contact.
If you plan to install the vacuum system yourself, we would like to hear about your plans so that we can look at the possibilities in your situation together and draw up a detailed piping plan. This is half the battle for a correct installation. We take into account other technical installations such as sanitary facilities and central heating and you are assured that the vacuum system can be installed in the best possible and cost-saving way. In addition, there is a clear installation manual that provides you with all the tips and explanations for the installation of the piping system, the vacuum contacts and the assembly of the vacuum unit.
The majority of central vacuum installations are installed by an installer, plumber, electrician or contractor during the new construction or renovation.
The central vacuum cleaners of a BEAM vacuum system are more powerful than normal canister vacuums from brands such as Miele, Siemens, Dyson, and Philips. The dust sucked up passes through a piping system to the vacuum cleaner and is then collected in the bin under the device.
Cause 1: The piping system does not close properly, so that the central vacuum cleaner sucks in false air and there is no vacuum. Cause 2: The piping system is clogged, blocking the airflow and hardly any suction can be felt on one or more dust contacts. Cause 3: The vacuum cleaner motor and/or filter is worn out and needs to be replaced.
In this case, we expect that the piping system does not close properly, with the result that a false airflow causes you to have little to no suction power. To test this, there is a simple sequence of actions to find out whether the piping system has been installed correctly.

It is not common for a central vacuum system to clog quickly, but when vacuuming the wrong objects, it is also not impossible that your hose or piping system will become blocked. It is no reason to panic because a clog is usually quite easy to fix if you take the right actions.
To be sure whether it is really a blockage in your case, you can first check the suction power on the appliance. If this is emphatically better compared to a dust contact in the house, this may indicate a blockage in the pipe system.

If the suction power has gradually decreased, this may indicate a worn motor and filter. A worn engine usually makes more noise because internal components such as the bearings are worn out. A burnt smell around the aircraft is also a clear sign that the motor needs to be replaced.
